The #7 campsite in the North Campground is accessible for disabled individuals, and the campground offers two vault toilets and water fountains.

The South Campground is located in a Copper Falls State Park valley, including 23 non-electric campsites. There are two vault toilets and water fountains at this campground as well.

If you want to camp in a more secluded part of the campground, you can opt for one of the four campsites that are 100 yards walking distance from the parking lot. They provide carts to help move your camping gear to and from the site.

Winter Camping

For those who like winter camping, Copper State Park offers six campsites plowed during the winter months. These sites include electrical hookups. A vault toilet is also available for use at the ballfield parking lot.

If you enjoy waterfalls, you want to plan a camping trip to Lake of the Falls County Park. The county park is located in Iron County near Mercer, Wisconsin. Alongside the park, you will find a 10-foot waterfall that flows into the Turtle River. 

When camping at or near the Lake of the Falls County Park, you can choose three different campgrounds in three different areas of the park.

  1. Side 1 is on the west side of the park and has campsites that include electrical hookups, pit toilets, potable water, and a nearby boat ramp.
  2. Quiet Side 2 has campsites right on Lake of the Falls. This campground is located in the northern part of the park and has pit toilets and potable water but no electrical hookups.

Fun times will be had if you plan on staying at Pattison State Park. Pattison has Wisconsin’s highest waterfalls, the highest being Big Manitou Falls at 165 feet high. There are also several hiking trails, a nature center, and a lake in this 1,400-acre State Park.

Pattison State Park is located in Superior, Wisconsin, near the shores of Lake Superior. There are 59 regular family campsites to choose from. Eighteen sites include electric hookups, but there are no water or sewer hookups on any campsites.

Check-in and out time is at 3 pm; if your site is not occupied before 3 pm, you can start setting up. If you need to leave late, just get ahold of the property office.

Recreation at Pattison State Park

There’s plenty of outdoor recreation to partake in while; staying at Pattison State Park. There are four hiking trails, Big Manitou Falls Overlooks, Beaver Trail, Little Manitou Falls Trail, and the Big Manitou Falls Trail, where you can view some of the park’s most beautiful scenery.

You could take the kids swimming at the Interfalls Lake beach or have a picnic at the nearby picnic area.

Only some people know that the RV Park at the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds is open year-round. It’s the only RV park in metro Milwaukee and is located next to the Hank Aaron State Trail.

They offer electric and water hookup sites and sites without utility hookups. You can book a site per month if you like or by the day. There is also an option for winter storage of your RV.

There are plenty of fun things to do near the RV park, such as visiting Betty Brin Children’s Museum, taking a stroll on Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, checking out the animals at the Milwaukee Zoo, or checking out the Boerner Botanical Gardens.

This state park was established in 1948 to protect a 300-foot high rock outcropping that has Native American Petroglyphs and Pictographs carved into it.

The Wisconsin Interstate Park is located in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, along the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. This park was founded in 1900 and is the oldest Wisconsin State Park.

The Interstate offers two regular campgrounds plus one primitive group camp. Eighty-two family campsites between the north and south campgrounds and two primitive group sites can accommodate 60 people.

You can buy ice, firewood, and other concessions at the Ice Age Interpretive center. There is a dump station across from the center. Showers are available for registered campers in the North Campground.

The State Park is located on the Amnicon River, where you can view the beautiful waterfalls and take a hike on the two miles of trails that follow the river.

Governor Dodge State Park campgrounds offer 300 campsites, including standard and group sites and equestrian and backpack sites. These campsites are divided between the Cox Hollow and Twin Valley Campgrounds.

If you enjoy winter camping, 39 campsites are available for winter camping. These winter sites offer pit toilets, fire rings, electricity hookups, and picnic tables.

The 20 equestrian campsites have vault toilets, high-line hitching posts, electricity at 18 of the sites, drinking water, a picnic table, and a fire ring. They also provide manure bunkers and washing stations for the horses.

There are 8 group campsites at the Hickory Ridge Group Camp that can hold between 15 and 40 people per site. Provided are picnic tables, pit toilets, and fire rings. There’s a nearby shower building and drinking water.

The park also offers six backpack sites about a half mile from the parking lot. They also offer handicap-accessible campsites with paved areas.

Some supplies can be bought at the Cox Hollow Beach Concession stand from Memorial to Labor Day weekend.

The Country Roads Motorhome and RV Park is located on Lake Delton in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. This top-of-the-line park offers full hookup sites, and seasonal sites are available upon request.

There’s pull through-access sites for the larger RVs. There are plenty of large shade trees so you can get out of the sun on those hot summer days. This park offers many amenities you don’t always find at a campground.

Staying at this RV park, you are in close proximity to all that Wisconsin Dells has to offer, including the numerous waterparks, boat tours, and the Ho-Chunk casino. They even provide a shuttle from the park to the casino and back.

The park is open from May 1 to October 10. Only RV camping is allowed, no tent camping.

Hi-Pines Campground is located in Eagle River, Wisconsin. One of the campground’s main attractions open to the public is the Aqua Play Zone, where kids and adults alike have fun on the inflatable toys in the pond.

The campground consists of 145 campsites, with 59 of them having full hookups. They also offer cabin rentals. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. A snack bar on the premises sells ice cream, beer, and pizza.

The Baraboo RV Resort is affiliated with RJourney and is located in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The resort is open from April 15 until October 09. They offer several full and partial hookup sites for your RV.

Harrington Beach State Park campground has 69 campsites, and 31 have electric hookups. A fire ring and picnic table are available at each of the sites. This park also offers five walk-in campsites and one kayak campsite.

There’s also a group campsite that can hold up to 30 people. This site is non-electric, has two fire rings, is pet-friendly and only tents are allowed.

The park also has a handicap-accessible cabin that offers large bedrooms for wheelchairs and roll-in showers, and other accessible amenities. The Friends of Harrington Beach State Park and other businesses and people helped build and make this cabin a reality.

Fun things to do at the Harrington Beach State Park are swimming, boating, fishing, horseback riding, and hunting. You can also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter months.
