1. Cumberland Mountain State Park Campground
Cumberland Mountain State Park is located near Crossville, Tn, on the Cumberland plateau that stretches from New York State to the center of Alabama. The campground at the park features many ways to stay, including RV sites, tent sites, and cabins.
A total of 145 RV and tent campsites offer hookups, including 110-volt to 50-amp electrical service. Each campsite can sleep up to seven guests, and each site offers a picnic table and grill.
Each site is allowed two tents or one tent and one camper. There are five camping areas in the park. The camp area’s, 1,2,3, and 5 offer a bathhouse and handicapped-accessible sites. Area 4 has a bathhouse, but it is not handicapped accessible, nor are the campsites.
There is one backpacking primitive campsite that can be accessed with a six-mile hike through Byrd Creek and Overnight trails. This hike is considered a moderate to difficult hike, so be prepared to cross many streams and a swinging bridge to get there.
Only heat-treated firewood can be brought into the park, or you can use wood near your campsite or purchase firewood for sale in the park.
No RV or tent? No problem! Cumberland Mountain State Park offers rental cabins along with traditional RV and tent camping sites. Historic CCC cabins were built when the Civilian Conservation Corps constructed the park in the late 1930s to the early 1940s.
The park also features standard, deluxe, duplex, and three-bedroom lodges and cabins for rent. Other park features include a swimming pool, picnic areas, playground, and clubhouse.

David Crockett Birthplace State Park was formed to celebrate and commemorate this legendary pioneer and Congressman who lost his life in the battle of the Alamo.
This 105-acre park is located near the Nolichucky River in Limestone, Tn. The campground features 54 full hookup RV sites, 17 partial hookup sites, and 17 primitive tent sites.
